Experience

Liz takes an empathetic, non-judgmental approach in her work and is accepting of her clients throughout their therapeutic journey. She has previously worked in early childhood intervention, providing assistance to children with neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism, ADHD, and developmental delay. Liz has considerable experience in the education field, having been employed as a secondary school teacher, school psychologist, and her current role at the department of education. Moreover, she has conducted a range of assessments, guiding individuals, both young and old, in understanding their specific needs.

Profession

Liz works with clients of all ages, but she particularly enjoys working with children and young adults who are facing mental health challenges such as anxiety and mood disorders. She also has an interest in areas such as parenting, relationships, self-development, trauma, grief, and loss.

Hobbies

When Liz is not at work she enjoys going for walks with her puppy, Ellie. While Ellie is an animal assistance dog in training, she has already provided much care, love and support for Liz. Once Ellie is able to better manage her impulses and emotions, she will be a welcome addition at Minds of Light Psychology. In the meantime, Ellie is teaching Liz patience and that our journeys to success look different for everyone!
