FeesThe Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends standard consultation fees for psychologists. The recommended fee for a standard psychological consultation of 50 minutes is $300.00. Psychologists are able to vary this fee at their discretion. Counselling Our fees for counselling sessions with a Generally Registered Psychologist is $200 per hour. NDIS PlansAt Minds of Light Psychology we are able to support self-managed and plan managed NDIS participants. However, as an unregistered provider, Minds of Light Psychology is unable to provide services to NDIA-managed participants. If you are a self-managed client, you are required to pay for services at the time of consultation. A payment receipt can then be submitted to NDIS for reimbursement, this is the responsibility of the client. Generally Registered Psychologist | MedicareMedicare rebates for counselling are available with a GP Mental Health Care Plan and referral. When assessed as eligible, adults and children are able to access up to ten sessions in any calendar year. Rebates are claimed through the Medicare online claim system or by visiting a local Medicare office with proof of receipt provider number and item number. More information can be found here. It is best to check with your insurance provider to discuss whether your policy has psychological counselling extras. Rebates through private health insurance are not available on consultations where a Medicare rebate is being claimed. |
